The Origin

TRO Arts Foundation was founded by Tyrone “OG” Bowie and Abiye Fubara with a shared belief that talent is everywhere, but opportunity is not.

Through their work building and developing The Renaissance Orchestra, Tyrone and Abiye witnessed firsthand how music can transform lives, create opportunities, build confidence, and bring communities together. They also recognized a larger need: many talented young people, particularly in underserved communities, lack access to instruments, quality music education, professional mentorship, performance opportunities, and exposure to careers within the arts and entertainment industries.

That realization became the foundation for TRO Arts Foundation.

The Foundation was created to take the impact of The Renaissance Orchestra beyond the stage and directly into the community—providing young people with access to music education, mentorship, creative development, and real-world experiences.

Tyrone and Abiye envisioned an organization that would not only help develop the next generation of musicians, but also expose young people to the many careers that exist behind the music—including music production, audio engineering, creative direction, event production, touring, marketing, and arts administration.

At its core, TRO Arts Foundation is about creating access, building pathways, and giving the next generation the tools and opportunities to turn their creativity into purpose.

Founded by Tyrone “OG” Bowie and Abiye Fubara, TRO Arts Foundation represents a commitment to giving back, opening doors, and ensuring that the platform they have built creates opportunities for generations to come.
